About Our Pastor

Meet our pastoral couple and the heart behind the ministry.

Pastors Cobus & Clarisa Buys

Both were raised in Mpumalanga Standerton, and that’s where they met each other, fell in love, and got married in 2014. Being in ministry from 2010, they served in various departments as volunteers before joining full-time ministry in 2013. Pastor Cobus was ordained in 2018, and Pastor Clarisa was ordained in 2022. After serving faithfully as Assistant Pastors, they felt the heart of God for the nations and a hunger for multi cultural ministry. They joined Bet Shalom in Polokwane on 1 June 2021 as Assistant Pastors, and a year later served as Associate Pastors until 2025. In September 2025 they took the bold step of faith and accepted the placement at The Village FGC in Parklands.

Their love for God enables them to love people. They have a passion for ministry and a shepherd’s heart for the church.
